This Downpipe has a Resonated center section that reduces the amount of exhaust noise and drone for a more quiet application. This downpipe offers a more muffled tone than our Catless non-resonated 1.9L ALH downpipe. Fits all 1.9T (1.9L Turbo) ALH motors from 1999 to early 2005 models Golf/GTi MK4, Jetta/Bora, & Beetle perfectly. If you're unsure which downpipe you need for your TDI (Diesel Motor), please take a picture and I can verify if it fit ours or not. Will fit the 3 bolt standard turbo flange, will not fit the gas engines.
Comes with the 3 bolt gasket along with clamps and hardware. Professional installation might be required. This is a 2.5" downpipe coming out from your stock 3 bolt turbo with a 2.25" reducer to be compatible with stock exhaust or aftermarket 2.25" exhaust, or you can cut the reducer off to be customized to your 2.5" exhaust. Might not pass smog in some States also may trigger a CEL with removal of catalytic converter. May require tuning for proper performance gains. 2002+ may require O2 sensor modifications.
