Mazdaspeed 3 / Mazdaspeed 6 / CX-7 2.3L – External Wastegate (44mm)

Overview

The XS-POWER Platinum Series V3 turbo manifold is the latest evolution of our Mazdaspeed performance line, engineered for improved flow, durability, and turbo efficiency.

This version features a fully revised runner design, thicker materials, and a true external wastegate provision for 44mm applications. Designed to replace the restrictive factory cast manifold, it delivers increased airflow, improved balance between runners, and reduced backpressure.

Why Upgrade the Factory Manifold

The OEM manifold uses a restrictive log-style design with uneven runner flow. This creates excess backpressure and limits turbo efficiency.

The V3 manifold improves this by:

  • Increasing exhaust flow by approximately 30%+
  • Balancing runner distribution
  • Reducing pre-turbo restriction
  • Improving turbo spool and response

V3 Platinum Series Improvements

  • New one-piece head flange design
  • Flange thickness increased to 14mm (previously 11mm)
  • 3mm thick 321 stainless tubing for durability
  • Revised runner geometry for improved flow balance
  • Corrected EGT port (1/8-27 thread)
  • Fully resurfaced flanges for proper sealing

This is not a thin-wall manifold. It is built for long-term reliability under demanding conditions.

Fits factory turbo and most factory replacement or upgraded turbochargers.
Compatible with aftermarket top-mount intercoolers with proper clearance.

Wastegate Configuration

  • External wastegate port for 44mm (Tial-style)
  • Designed for proper boost control in high-performance setups

Installation Notes

  • Direct bolt-on replacement for OEM manifold
  • Factory turbo placement remains in stock position
  • Factory turbo support bracket must be removed during installation
  • Failure to remove bracket may cause stress and will void warranty
  • OEM gaskets recommended (not included)
